Project 1 Pre-Production
The VFX Project 1 Page outlines what the project requirements, deadlines, and evaluation criteria are. Some of the requirements for the project are related to content of your commercials and others are more related to process. A major component of longer, detailed, visual effects projects includes planning and Pre Production. Our project includes this stage and it is imperative that you begin by doing this preliminary work first. Project planning and Pre Production will be evaluated as part of your project and will be submitted on D2L as well as hard copy. These materials will be presented and discussed in the next class session.
Pre Production Materials Needed For Class 15:
Examples of these materials are linked in the above notes. There will also be hardcopies from previous semesters available for reference. Pre Production materials should be submitted via D2L in the form of a single PDF per student/group. This information will be accepted as digital format PDF and hardcopy printed in the lab in black and white.
Following this review of process related to begining VFX Project 1, you will have work time. During work time, you should either be working on things like: Pre Production, Research and Concepting, Video Sketches or Process Exploration.
Video Art Screening
During our work session, there will be a screening of video art. As we are begining a new project, most people will be busy working. This screening is meant as a supplement to our work in class and may also offer inspiration or ideas that could be useful in your own work.
