Project Work Session

Today's class session is designated as a work time for VFX Project 1. The time should be used, as much as possible, for Post Production work on the project. The resources available on the VFX Project 1 Page are meant to assist you in your work. In addition, all tutorial assignments for the last several weeks of class may be useful for developing your content for this project. If you need to revisit or catch up on any of them, that would be a good way to continue developing your project. Our critique from ealier in the class session should provide some guidance as to your next steps in development. The professor is a useful resource for many of the processes you might need to complete your work or to get feedback, suggestions, and recommendations.

Project 1 Reminders and Deadlines

The VFX Project 1 guidelines include information about deadlines and rendering. A summary of that information is below. In short, your project is due in a complete edited form during the next class session. Because you are likely using software fro effects in some way, our render times will be longer than in the past. Make sure to budget your time accordingly and consider rendering early so you can preview the work and make revisions.

Documentary Screening

During your work session today in class, we will screen a documentary film about remix culture. We will either screen the Everything is a Remix Series or R!P : A Remix Manifesto. Both explore a range of issues surrounding how copy right and intellectual property have changed and developed over time with focus on creative expression.
